As if the Nissan Leaf wasn’t already hot enough…

The all-electric car has found a new spokesman for its product in uber-sexy environmentalist Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds stars in the Green Lantern, which opens in theaters this Friday. In the film, he sports a seemingly superhuman six-pack and rippling muscles. So perhaps unsurprisingly, the actor has also joined Nissan’s Innovation for Endurance fitness campaign to encourage active living.

June 13, 2011 -- Today Nissan North America announced a new partnership in conjunction with the recent launch of "Innovation for Endurance," a new integrated fitness program. Ryan Reynolds, an actor and environmental activist, comes to the program to support the Nissan LEAF, Nissan's 100% electric vehicle recently named the "2011 World Car of the Year."

Mark Perry, director of strategy and planning for Nissan North America, talks about the LEAF business at Earth2Tech’s Green:Net conference.

Perry describes the “early adapter” profile of those who have registered, saying many are hybrid drivers eager for the next step in conservation and Nissan’s rollout.

There’s heavy interest in the West Coast, of course, but Perry said enthusiasm for the Leaf spans the country.  In fact, Atlanta is a hot spot, he said, noting Georgia’s $5k rebate. Check out the video interview here:
