Today’s post in the DOE’s recently launched blog issues a Request for Information on Energy Education and Workforce Development.
Under Secretary of Energy Kristina Johnson cites a report from the Center for Energy Workforce Development that claims 40 to 60 percent of the energy utility workforce could retire by 2012.
The RFI, writes Under Secretary for Energy Kristina Johnson, means to “ensure that we are equipping our students and workforce with the skills and training they need to lead the clean energy economy.”
Deadline to respond: September 3, 2010, 8 PM EST.
