Autodesk shops for technology in Israel

Here’s a neat story by Israel21C, a site that provides news from Israel “beyond the conflit.”

Israel boast the world’s highest number of startups per capita, according to the book, “Startup Nation,” about the country’s entrepreneurial climate. And clearly, American innovators like Autodesk have taken notice.

The California-based company is a leader in software for virtual design, which obviously cuts down on the cost and time and waste of manual construction. Its purchase of Israel’s PlanPlatform software allows for live collaboration among designers. And it means that PlanPlatform’s former CEO, Tal Weiss, now heads up Autodesk’s AutoCad R&D program in Israel, according to the article, which you can click on below for more details.

What blows my mind is the picture that goes with it — of the leadership trio behind PlanPlatform. They look like high school kids. Amazing.
