Ira Blumenthal, president of the Captain Planet Foundation, spoke to Jimmy Baron of Atlanta’s dave fm Monday about the GreenBusiness Works EXPO.

Ira, a talented, profesional speaker and emcee of the EXPO, tells Jimmy that he can, in fact, teach his 3-year-old how to refrain from playing his favorite game: flush the toilet. In other words, even the littlest human beings among us can take part in the sustainability movement. And, if you recall, we’ve been at this conservation thing for a while — even if we didn’t call it “green.” Ira points out the good old parenting in asking kids to turn off the TV and lights when they’re not in use.

We’ll have to check in with Jimmy to see whether the lesson takes hold.
